About the Tip Calculator
Splitting a restaurant bill and working out a fair tip should not require pen and paper. The AlarmDaddy Tip Calculator computes the tip on any bill amount and divides the total — including tip — across your group, so everyone pays their fair share down to the rupee.

The formula
The tip is a percentage of the pre-tip bill. The total adds the tip to the bill, and the per-person amount divides the total evenly by the number of people sharing it.
