About the Pomodoro Timer

The Pomodoro Technique breaks work into focused intervals (traditionally 25 minutes) separated by short breaks, with a longer break every few rounds. This free online Pomodoro timer runs the whole cycle for you: it counts down your focus session, chimes, switches to a break, and keeps track of how many focus sessions you have completed.

You can customize the focus length, short break, long break and how often the long break happens, then just press start. It is a simple way to beat procrastination and stay productive while studying, writing, coding or doing deep work — all in your browser with no sign-up and nothing uploaded.

How to use this tool

  1. 1Set your focus, short-break and long-break lengths (defaults are 25 / 5 / 15).
  2. 2Press Start to begin a focus session.
  3. 3When it ends, a chime plays and it switches to a break automatically.
  4. 4Skip a phase or reset any time; completed focus sessions are counted.
