About the Reaction Time Test
The AlarmDaddy Reaction Time Test measures how quickly you respond to a visual cue. Click to start, wait while the box is red, and the moment it turns green — click as fast as you can. Your reaction time is shown in milliseconds, along with your best and average across attempts.
It is a quick, fun test of your reflexes. Clicking before the box turns green counts as too soon, so you have to wait for the signal.
How to use this calculator
- 1Click the box to begin.
- 2Wait while it is red — clicking early resets the attempt.
- 3Click as soon as it turns green.
- 4Read your reaction time, plus your best and average.
The formula
The test records a high-resolution timestamp when the box turns green and again when you click, and reports the difference in milliseconds. Your average is the mean of all valid attempts.
Frequently asked questions
A typical visual reaction time is around 200–300 milliseconds. Faster than 200 ms is very quick.
