The formula
Each short link stores your long URL against a short random code (or your custom alias). When someone opens alarmdaddy.com/s/<code>, we look up the destination, record the click, briefly show the page, then forward the visitor to your original long URL. Signed-in creators can see the running click total for each of their links.
