About the Prime Numbers List
The AlarmDaddy Prime Numbers List generates every prime number up to a limit you choose and tells you how many there are. Enter a limit — up to 100,000 — and see the full list along with the prime count, computed instantly with a Sieve of Eratosthenes.
It is handy for maths classes, programming exercises and number-theory practice, where you often need all the primes below a certain value rather than checking one at a time.
How to use this calculator
- 1Enter an upper limit (up to 100,000).
- 2See the count of prime numbers up to that limit.
- 3Read the list of primes.
The formula
Starting from 2, each prime's multiples are crossed out. Any number that is never crossed out is prime. The sieve is an efficient way to find all primes up to a limit at once.
